Improved experience for Viva Connections Resources section

We are pleased to announce recent improvements to the Viva Connected Resources section to help operators further personalize their experience. Here are some of the updates to our resources:

Add custom images for resource links

Administrators can now add their own custom images to resource links for a more personalized feel that fits their brand. To add a custom image as an icon in Viva Connections, follow these simple steps:

  1. On the Resources screen, select: edit.
  2. In the three-dot menu next to the resource link edit Then select custom To select a custom image, Then select change
  3. Select the image you want and then select Next. insert To add a new image to the link
  4. choose edit To implement changes, at the bottom of the screen

No extensive preparation is required. Admins should start considering custom images to use as icons for links in the resources section. This feature is turned on by default and accessible to all Viva Connections operators and administrators.

Preview the editing experience and get links from global/home site navigation

Besides, we Editorial experience in the Resources section From Viva Connection. Operators can now edit more than one link at a time before saving changes, which is an update from the previous auto-save feature that existed in resources. This update provides more flexibility, allowing admins to save changes to the Resources section and decide when to display them in their organization. Additionally, operators can import navigation links from home sites and global navigation. To perform the task: Please follow these steps:

  1. On the Resources screen, select: edit.
  2. After selecting Edit Get a SharePoint link.
  3. Select the navigation component you want to pull the link from. You can get it from your home site navigation or global navigation.
  4. Next, choose how many links you want to import into your resource.
  5. Select to keep any existing audience targeting settings you have for the links you import into the resource. Turn the toggle on.
  6. Select it when you’re done. import Import links to resources in Viva Connections.

Consistency across desktop and mobile

Finally what we bring is Equivalent to the Resources section of the Viva Connections desktop and mobile experiences. The updated link from Viva Connections desktop now appears on mobile with a custom icon selected by the operator. This update ensures a consistent user interface across both desktop and mobile environments. The mobile UI update is scheduled for release in Q4 and is currently rolling out to customers.
