ILT Course Retirement- MS-4006: Copilot for Microsoft 365 for Administrators by info.odysseyx@gmail.com August 27, 2024 written by info.odysseyx@gmail.com August 27, 2024 0 comment 14 views 14 MS-4006: Copilot for Microsoft 365 for Admins credentials: doesn’t exist Retirement date: October 31stcastle2024 MS-4006 (Microsoft 365 Copilot for Administrators) was originally designed over a year ago to help administrators prepare their tenants for Microsoft 365 Copilot. At that time, Copilot administration capabilities were not yet available, so a key part of preparing for Copilot was to help organizations implement security and compliance controls for Microsoft 365, which ultimately impact how data is protected and used in Microsoft 365 Copilot. We also learned through our research that many customers were not following Microsoft’s best practices for permissions, users, and policies (covered in MS-102). So the Modern Work team was asked to create a streamlined, one-day course that would introduce Microsoft 365 Copilot and summarize the key points from MS-102 related to Microsoft 365 security and compliance controls. Thus, MS-4006 was born. In the early days of Copilot, MS-4006 served customers well as they prepared to implement Microsoft 365 Copilot. However, with the recent release of Microsoft 365 Copilot management capabilities and scalability options, customer needs have changed. Rather than focusing on the security and compliance capabilities that were in MS-4006 (still covered in MS-102), we now need to focus training on the new Copilot management controls and scalability capabilities. The Modern Work team has heard feedback from stakeholders, partners, educators, and customers. Their demand for change has been the driving force behind our decision. Replacement Course: MS-4017: Manage and extend Microsoft 365 Copilot Release Date: Released on October 18thDay2024 credentials: doesn’t exist Therefore, MS-4006 is being retired and replaced with a new 1-day ILT course. MS-4017: Manage and scale Microsoft 365 Copilot. Read below for more information about future ILT course offerings. This course begins with the same learning path (LP) as MS-4006, which introduces Microsoft 365 Copilot. This LP includes modules that cover Copilot design and implementation requirements, which are still valuable to new Copilot customers. It also includes modules that summarize key Microsoft 365 security and compliance features that impact Microsoft 365 Copilot deployments. The detailed security and compliance LP and labs from MS-4006, which were borrowed from MS-102, have been removed, leaving only this summary module. A new LP has been added related to Copilot Management. This LP starts with a module on how organizations can apply Zero Trust principles to their Microsoft 365 Copilot deployments. It then includes a module on Microsoft Copilot Management, followed by a module on Microsoft 365 Copilot Management. This course concludes with a new LP that guides administrators to prepare for Microsoft Copilot extensibility. This LP begins with a module on Copilot extensibility fundamentals and concludes with a module on choosing a Copilot extensibility development path. Note: This is not a support forum.
