Purpose of the position:

The purpose of the position is to provide high quality support to the Talent Management team at UNICC and in particular to strengthen the Talent Acquisition area.

Objectives of the program:

The aim of the centre is to provide trusted ICT services and digital business solutions to its customers and partner organisations.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

The incumbent will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the Human Resources Officer (MSHT) within the Management & Strategy Division (MS) and in close collaboration with the Human Resources teams. The incumbent may be required to undertake other duties at a similar level in related areas.

  • Help to write compelling job postings, efficiently screen applications, organize interview rounds, and provide hands-on interview support. Ensure a smooth completion of candidate selection and communicate results to candidates promptly.
  • Provide high-quality support throughout the selection process, including coordinating schedules in collaboration with the HR manager. Support HR managers and ensure a streamlined, efficient workflow from start to finish
  • Support the selection process with special tools and technologies such as preliminary interviews, special recruiter licenses and job boards.
  • Conduct proactive outreach activities, including cold calling, headhunting and campaigning, adhering to unit best practices to attract the best talent.
  • Under the guidance of the Human Resources Manager, identify, analyze and recommend innovative talent acquisition channels that meet the needs of the organization.
  • Assist HR leaders in improving talent acquisition agreements with third-party organizations, such as academic institutions or nonprofits, to increase the reach and impact of recruitment.

Recruitment profile

Required experience and skills:

Essential:

  • Three (3) years of experience in human resources, particularly in talent acquisition. A university degree from a recognized university will count towards the minimum professional experience requirement.
  • Proven experience in candidate approach and headhunting using special job boards, recruitment licenses or similar tools and technologies
  • Proven experience in assessing and identifying suitable candidate profiles through analysis of documentation
  • Proven knowledge in analyzing and interpreting human resources policies, procedures and practices
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a human resources department of an international organization
  • Experience as an interviewer using a competency-based interview model
  • Proven experience in assessing and identifying IT profiles

Education:

Essential:

  • Completion of secondary education

Desirable:

  • Certification in human resources management or similar fields, such as law, psychology or business administration

Languages:

  • English: Expert knowledge is required
  • Knowledge of the local language of the place of work is an advantage

Eligibility:

This post is subject to local recruitment in accordance with staff rule 4.4 of the United Nations Staff Rules. All staff of the General Service and related categories shall be recruited in-country or within commuting distance of any office, regardless of their nationality and the length of their employment in the country, if any. A staff member subject to local recruitment shall not be entitled to the allowances or benefits applicable exclusively to international recruitment.

Compensation:

Estimated annual salary (excluding taxes at individual rate):

  • Valencia, Spain: 38,398 EUR
