The grant is intended to reflect and share one’s scientific or artistic life’s work and the experiences gained therefrom, for the benefit of others in one’s own field, other fields, the interaction between science and the arts, or more broadly: Promote the social importance of science or art. A prerequisite for an Eminentia grant is that the work must be published in writing, either as a stand-alone book, published online, or as a series of articles. Details of the publication must be submitted to the Cultural Foundation along with a report on use of the grant. funds information The Eminentia grant is €25,000. This can apply to tasks, expenses, or a combination of both. Ineligible Expenses Grants will not be awarded: through wage increases or incentive subsidies. on social grounds Available for basic (bachelor’s and master’s) degree students for work grants or student exchanges involved in their studies. For overseas postdoctoral research, excluding visits lasting less than one semester (less than 6 months) To cover general printing costs for internship Eligibility Criteria Scientists or artists in the later stages of a long scientific or artistic career may apply for an Eminentia grant. Evaluation criteria All grant applications are peer reviewed. Central funding October round applications are assessed by over 50 committees, which each year invite two external experts as members. To ensure as much fairness as possible, strict guidelines apply to the application evaluation process. Selected grants may be canceled if, after the decision-making process, a lack of fairness is discovered. Applications will be treated confidentially. The expert’s identity is not disclosed, nor does the expert justify his or her decisions in writing. Therefore, no feedback can be provided on your application.
