I’m excited to bring the Draw and Hold gestures previously available in OneNote to Word for Windows, making it easier to create straight lines and clean shapes. We’re also adding support for two new shapes: hearts and stars! Create clean lines and shapes with ink in Word for Windows In early 2023, we introduced: Drawing and holding gestures in OneNote for Windows. Based on your feedback, you wanted the same feature in Word. We listened and made it happen! Create clean lines and shapes with ink using the Draw and Fix features. How it works Open a new or existing document in Word. Sketch a line, arrow, or shape on your canvas with a single stroke, then hold the pen in place for a few milliseconds. Watch as the shape transforms into a cleaner version. Tips and Tricks Like OneNote, this feature supports shapes like circles, ovals, triangles, squares, rectangles, rhombuses, trapezoids, pentagons, and hexagons. Now we’ve added hearts and stars to the mix, too! Once you’re happy with the shape and position, you can leave it as is, or simply drag it to resize or rotate it. effectiveness This feature is available to users using Version 2406 (Build 17726.20016) or later. feedback We want to hear from you!
