I’m Rolly Seth, a Product Manager on the Microsoft Designer team. I’m excited to show you how easy it is to create unique and personalized invitations with Microsoft Designer. Get ready to wow your guests with a unique invitation that perfectly captures the spirit of your event. Create personalized invitations with Microsoft Designer Invitations is a fun and intuitive feature in Microsoft Designer that turns text descriptions of your event into beautiful, personalized invitations in seconds. Simply provide the event, date, time, location, and other relevant details, and Invitations generates a custom vertical design that’s perfect for sharing on your mobile device. Event details are overlaid as editable text on top of AI-generated artwork, creating a consistent look that’s easy to fine-tune and personalize. Invitations can be used to create invitations for a variety of events, including birthdays, anniversary parties, baby showers, graduation parties, and holiday gatherings. They are also great for creating invitations for less traditional events, such as team lunches, happy hours, talent shows, sports tournaments, and virtual meetings. Invitations can add a special touch to any event, making it more memorable and meaningful. How it works open Microsoft Designer And explore invitation. Invitation proposal After you choose the design you want, Download If you are satisfied with the results, click the button or select Next. Edit Use the buttons to adjust the text on your invitation or update the text style (font, color, size, and layout). You can also easily add photos, graphics, and stickers. Customized invitations When you’re ready, you can download your invitation as a mobile-friendly PNG, lightweight JPEG, or PDF for easy printing. You can also copy the invitation directly from the download screen to paste into an email, post on social media, or share it as a message on your phone. Invitation Ideas These AI-generated invitations are super quick and easy to create, making them perfect for adding a personal touch to events that wouldn’t normally receive a custom invitation. If you’re usually sending out a quick Outlook meeting invitation to announce a team welcome lunch or happy hour, you can use an invitation to make it a little more special (just paste the invitation directly into your calendar event or drop it into a Teams chat!). Invitations can make even more magical memories for your kids. If your daughter is in a talent show, send her a formal invitation to her grandmother to make her feel like a star. If it’s a big game, email a fun invitation to get the whole team excited. Planning a family outing or adventure? You know what to do. These invitations are also great for more traditional events, such as: Personal celebrations (birthdays, weddings, save the date, anniversary parties, baby showers, and other special occasions) Holiday Parties and Family Gatherings School events (proms, fundraisers, graduations, end of year parties) Garage Sales and Local Events Virtual events (book club meetings or other virtual meetings) Sports tournaments, game nights or fitness challenges Theme Parties (custom parties, movie nights, decade themed events) Tips and Tricks The text in the generated invitation is easy to update, move, and customize. So even if you create a design you like but don’t like the font, you can still choose the invitation and update the font. Be more discerning about the generated artwork in your invitation. It’s harder to change (but still possible in many cases, especially if you add elements). Let’s look at an example invitation: Explore ideas Focus on the style of each example invitation in the tab and don’t focus on the intended use. The prompt templates are customizable, so if you like the style of a birthday invitation, you can easily change it to a graduation invitation. Choose the information you want to include carefully. Focus on essential information like name, date, location, and RSVP. Keeping text to a minimum generally makes for a cleaner, easier-to-edit design. Known Limitations Occasionally, due to some limitations of Dall-E, the generated images will show misspelled words and distorted graphics. This problem is less noticeable in invitations, as the text is not usually part of the generated artwork (it is added on top). Look carefully to see if anything looks odd. You can always regenerate it! Invitations appears to handle non-English prompts and output well, but has only been fully tested in English, with other languages coming soon. effectiveness The Invite feature is available on the web to all Microsoft Designer users with a Microsoft account in English. feedback Your feedback helps us improve, and your designs inspire us.
