Um- The Central University of Karnataka (CUK) was established by an Act of Parliament (No. 3 of 2009) at Kalaburagi, Karnataka. It is one of the 16 new central universities established by the Government of India. The university’s campus covers 654 acres near Kadaganchi village in Kalaburagi district of Karnataka state. Reportedly, CUK is the first central university among the new universities to have moved to its permanent campus within a short period of time. The main objective of the university is to integrate the components of teaching, research, innovation, training and skill development (TRI-TSD) with an aim to excel in double degree, postgraduate and doctoral programs. The university offers programs in the following five major fields: arts, humanities, management, science and engineering. Currently, the university operates 16 faculties in 8 schools and 1 center, offering 9 double degree programs, 15 master’s programs and 16 research programs (Ph.D.). Job description-

The Central University of Karnataka, Kalaburagi invites applications from suitable candidates for the post of Teacher in the following department on purely contractual basis for one semester or until further notice, whichever is earlier. The details of the posts and number of positions are given below.

The appointment is on a fixed-term basis for a period of one semester only. For the appointment on a contractual basis, teachers will be paid a salary of Rs. 40,000 for candidates with UGC/CSIR-NET and Rs. 45,000 for candidates with UGC/CSIR-NET and Ph.D. in the relevant subject.

There are no additional salaries/allowances/reimbursements for medical services. No holiday pay is paid. No compensatory leave is granted.
