The Central University of Karnataka (CUK) was established by an Act of Parliament (No. 3 of 2009) at Kalaburagi, Karnataka. It is one of the 16 new central universities established by the Government of India during the UGC XI plan period to address the concerns of ‘Equality and Access’ and to improve access to quality higher education for people in educationally less developed districts whose graduate enrolment rate is below the national average of 11%. CUK, whose territorial jurisdiction covers the whole of Karnataka, started its activities from the academic year beginning August 2009. It follows the philosophy of achieving and maintaining the highest level of academic excellence, considering equity and access in enrolment and recruitment and establishing itself as the premier national educational and research institution of the country.

The Central University of Karnataka, Kalaburagi invites applications from suitable candidates for employment as Teaching Staff in the following department on purely contractual basis for one semester or until further notice, whichever is earlier. The details of the posts and number of positions are given below. Interested candidates possessing minimum qualifications and fulfilling other eligibility conditions may attend the interview bringing their detailed CV, certificates and mark sheets in original in support of their qualifications and experience etc. The other details are as follows

🏆 Salary / Compensation / Pay Scale ₹

The appointment is on a fixed-term basis for a period of one semester only. For the appointment on a contractual basis, teachers will be paid a salary of Rs. 40,000 for candidates with UGC/CSIR-NET and Rs. 45,000 for candidates with UGC/CSIR-NET and Ph.D. in the relevant subject.
