Call for applications: Atlas – Romania Postdoctoral Fellowship

Research stays are designed to allow researchers to conduct research in France, including fieldwork, library and archive work.

Funding Information

• The winner will receive a total scholarship of €3600 for two months (paid in two instalments of €1800 at the beginning of each month during the stay).

• The winners will be considered “Boursier du Gouvernement Français” and will receive affordable accommodation, social security benefits during their stay, and financial support to purchase bibliographic materials.
• Winners will also receive free visas and logistical support to plan their stay (provision of workspace, letters to send to the library).

Qualification criteria

• Nationality/Residency: This program is open to Romanian nationals affiliated with higher education and research institutions/institutes in Romania.
• French Host Institution: Applicants must find a French research institution to host them during their stay before submitting their application. Applicants must submit a letter from the host institution to FMSH and IFR stating their willingness to host the applicant during the fellowship period and describing the working conditions offered. Educational degree: Applicants must have a PhD and submit a thesis in 2019.
• Researcher Obligations: Upon completion of the stay, the awardee must provide FMSH and IFR with a report outlining the research conducted during the stay and the benefits of the research project.
