Azure OpenAI services are now authorized as a service within FedRAMP High Authorization for Azure Government. This means that agencies requiring FedRAMP High Authorization can now access these key AI capabilities within their Azure Government tenants, enabling secure and responsible access to cutting-edge AI technologies while maintaining rigorous security and compliance requirements.

GPT-4o is now available as part of the Azure OpenAI Service for Azure Government and is included as part of this latest FedRAMP High Authorization. Designed for speed and efficiency, GPT-4o is a groundbreaking multimodal OpenAI model that transforms the way users interact with large-scale language models by integrating text, vision, and audio capabilities for more natural and engaging experiences.

Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 GCC High and DOD is targeted for summer 2025.

In addition to these exciting updates, we are excited to announce that the target general availability (GA) date for Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 GCC High and DOD environments is summer 2025. This target date is subject to U.S. government approval. Copilot for Microsoft 365 brings the power of AI to GCC High and DOD environments, enabling public sector leaders to use advanced AI capabilities to improve productivity and mission outcomes. Copilot offers a range of capabilities designed to meet the unique needs of government customers, including advanced data analytics, automatic document creation, and intelligent work management.
