The Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) represents a transformative phase in India’s sanitation story, driven by a rich history of ancient innovations and supported by modern government efforts. Launched in 2014 by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, the mission was aimed at making India Open Defecation Free (ODF). Eligibility Criteria Anyone can register on the portal and participate in the contest. Participants must write an article and publish it in a local/regional newspaper (online/offline)/magazine/E-magazine). To confirm your participation, you need to upload the same along with a newspaper/magazine clipping or article link in case of e-publishing on the portal. Articles should be written based on: Focuses on SBM and its impact on the native language. Relevance of the article to local issues and context Gain insight into local populations or regions. Influence, readership and reach of the newspaper/magazine/e-site where the content is published Application Requirements Offensive language or derogatory content is not permitted. All submissions must be original and not infringe any existing copyright or trademark. The Promoter is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete or technically defective entries. Proof of submission is not proof of receipt. The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify or limit any harmful or harmful participation. Proof of identity may be required. Submissions may be used by the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation and Swachh Bharat Mission Grameen with due credit to the authors. Registration requires complete and accurate information. Illegible or incomplete registrations will be invalid. Entrant agrees that he/she has obtained all necessary permissions in relation to the photographs (if any) in the article. Once an article has been submitted for selection, it will be considered final and no changes will be permitted after submission. In the event of a dispute, the jury’s decision will be final. Participants must provide their name, email address, phone number and additional details when registering. By submitting details and participating in the contest, participants consent to Jal Shakti Ministry using this information as required. In case of any dispute or difference, the jury’s decision will be final. Any costs incurred for this will be borne by the participant.
