Funding Information

• Polar Knowledge Canada (POLAR) sponsors the Polar Knowledge Canada Scholarship each year, worth $10,000.

Qualification criteria

• Applicants must:
  • You are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada.
  • You must be regularly enrolled in a doctoral program at an accredited university at the time of application and during the award period.
  • Participate in research conducted in the Arctic or northern regions resulting in a thesis, key paper, publication, or similar output.
  • Adopt an interdisciplinary research approach or methodology.
  • Demonstrate your commitment to polar research.
  • On-site investigations are conducted from May (of the year in which the award is presented) to March of the following year.
