Currently, the supported metrics exports through diagnostic settings are limited. Customers cannot export metrics with dimensions, not all metrics are supported, and there is a delay of several minutes. We are excited to announce platform metrics for Azure Monitor. This powerful addition enables customers to export metrics for Azure resources at scale with full fidelity and low latency, and includes new capabilities to filter on specific metrics while configuring the export. Azure Monitor metrics export can be configured via: Data collection rules (DCR) provides the ability to route Azure resource metrics data to Azure Storage accounts, Azure Event Hubs, and Azure Log Analytics workspaces. 18 resource types and 10 Azure public regions. Key features and benefits of Azure Monitor Metrics Export include: Easily scalable: DCR is the de facto collection configuration mechanism for Azure Monitor. You can set up a collection configuration once and apply it to multiple resources at scale. DCR now provides an easier solution for exporting resource metrics at scale across subscriptions and provides flexibility when you need to add more resources to an existing DCR configuration. Flexibility in what to collect: Customers can control volume and cost by filtering collections by a few selected metrics or by all metrics for a given set of resources. The new, improved experience gives customers easy access to the metrics they care about most. Export with perfect fidelity and low latency: Resource metrics data is exported along with dimension information to provide easy correlation. This feature significantly improves metric export latency. rainAzure Monitor Metrics Export enables organizations to streamline monitoring processes and improve the overall performance of their infrastructure. We look forward to seeing the innovative solutions and exciting use cases that developers and organizations create with this capability..
