Announcing Text PII Redaction Container Release

We are pleased to announce the following: Container support for pre-built Text PII services Edit your personally identifiable information (PII). This release enables customers with stringent security and privacy requirements to detect and modify PII entities in text locally, ensuring the security and privacy of user data.

This release includes both linked and unlinked container options. Connected containers offer both pay-as-you-go and commitment-tier pricing options, while disconnected containers offer commitment-tier pricing, so even long-term customers can benefit from commitment savings. Learn more about pricing options. pricing page. The Text PII container also supports over 70 languages, with additional support in progress for Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Thai.

This update provides new options for customers to redact PII in a secure, on-premises environment and is one of several PII discovery products in the Azure AI language. On Azure hosted services, the Azure AI language also provides optimized PII search for speech-to-text (Interactive PII Service) and the main document (Primary document PII service). Conversational PII provides better support for input such as transcripts, chats, and text written in other conversational styles (e.g., “um”, “ah”, text with multiple speakers, spelling of words for clarity) Provides: We plan to add more of these features supported in PII containers in the future based on customer demand.
