HotPatch is a non-reboot OS security update that improves operational resiliency, especially for mission-critical Windows Server workloads. With Azure Arc enabled servers, customers can enable HotPatch for servers running in hybrid, multi-cloud, and edge environments. Customers can also pair HotPatch with Azure management services available through Azure Arc, such as Azure Update Manager for patch assessment and scheduling across environments, and Azure Monitor for performance metrics and insights. To get started, simply deploy the Connected Machine Agent, connect your servers to Azure Arc, and enable Windows Server Hotpatch. Customers will not be charged for evaluating Windows Server Hotpatch during the Public Preview period, but deploying management services, including Azure Update Manager and Azure Monitor, may incur additional costs.
