Focus on our activities in Sudan

Our mission in Sudan has been open since 2020. PUI is developing its integrated approach to health and nutrition. In addition, PUI is working to launch health and nutrition activities to support existing health facilities around refugee camps and support local communities, refugees and asylum seekers.

In view of the ongoing conflict in Sudan, PUI is actively providing assistance in surrounding countries to people fleeing the fighting in Khartoum and the surrounding area.

What about the administrator – Geneina?

As an Administrator, under the professional supervision of the Finance Coordinator, you will be responsible for the proper financial, accounting and budgetary management of the base, as well as for the management of human resources and the administrative and legal records of the base in accordance with PUI and donor procedures.

For this purpose, you are responsible for:

  • Financial, budget and accounting management: You will oversee the financial, accounting and budgetary management at the base and ensure compliance with the relevant procedures with functional support from the Mission Financial Coordinator.
  • Human resources management: You will oversee the administrative human resources management activities on base with the technical support of the Mission HR Coordinator or the Administrative and Financial Coordinator.
  • Administration: They oversee the administrative management of the base and ensure compliance with the relevant procedures with technical support from the Mission Financial Coordinator.
  • Coordination, reporting and representation: You centralize and disseminate information within the database on all matters related to financial, administrative, legal and human resources and participate in internal and external reporting in these areas. You represent the association towards partners, authorities and various local actors involved in the financial, administrative, legal and human resources areas of the base.Team management: You supervise the administrative and financial team of your base.
  • Team Management: You oversee the administrative and finance team at your site.

These challenges await you:

  • Base under construction, with growing scope of activities; complex relationships with authorities in administrative matters.
  • While waiting for the Sudan visa, short-term remote work from Amman is possible.

What you need for success

  • Education: You have a bachelor’s degree in financial management. A technical background in human resources management or project management is valued.
  • Experience: You have at least 2 years of experience in a similar position and previous humanitarian experience. You have already worked at Première Urgence Internationale? That would definitely be an advantage!
  • Skills: You have a solid knowledge of accounting, financial management, human resources and team management. You have administrative and management skills and are proficient in SAGA software. Even better if you have a good understanding of the procedures of institutional donors (BHA, CIAA, Humanitarian Fund, etc.).
  • Qualities: You are able to work independently and proactively take on responsibility. You have good analytical and management skills, accuracy, organization and flexibility. You have a sense of diplomacy and good stress resistance.
  • Languages: English has no secrets for you! Even better, it is mandatory for this position. If you speak Arabic, that would definitely be an advantage.

  • Was standing: Employees with a fixed-term employment contract
  • Monthly gross income: 2 190,00 – 2420,00 EUR depending on your experience in international solidarity + 50€ per semester if studying with PUI

  • Break regulations: 5 working days for 3 and 9 months + break allowance
