Initial release version 2408 (build 17928.20114).

bug name

Problem solved.

Access terminates unexpectedly when you copy a row that contains some Unicode characters.

Copying all Unicode characters now works correctly.

Access 365 Runtime displays incorrect product names in the list of installed products.

After installing Access 365 Runtime, the list of installed products used to show “Microsoft Access Runtime 2016”, but now shows “Microsoft Access Runtime 365”.

Initial release version 2409 (build 18025.20096)

bug name

Problem solved.

Error when importing or using links to txt, csv, and excel files from network

In some cases, when you try to import or link a text or Excel file, you may receive the following error: “Error 3051 – The Microsoft Access database engine cannot open or write the file.” It may already be opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view and write that data.”

This can happen if the file is opened in another application, even if exclusive access is not required. Access no longer requires exclusive access to read files for this purpose.

The ODBC data source application does not provide an option to create a new dBase connection when Office 365 is installed.

The Access database engine supports connections to dBase files, but this functionality is not exposed to ODBC data source applications.

Error 3048 and access operation aborted

There were a number of underlying issues affecting this behavior and fixes were delivered in multiple versions, but this should now be resolved in all active builds.
