Introducing new OneDrive, Quick Links and Playlist cards for Viva Connections

Viva Connections is a one-stop place for all employee services, giving employees easy access to relevant company information and personal tools. We are constantly evolving and improving. Viva Connection We continually deliver experiences with new core features and new extensibility possibilities.

We are excited to announce the release of three new, immediately available cards.Available within the Viva Connections dashboard. These cards are OneDrive cards (files), Quick Link cards, and Playlist cards.

OneDrive Card

OneDrive Card is one of the cards that is available out of the box without any configuration by the administrator (Viva Connections “Admin”). It is a user-based card, and end users can access recently accessed files, shared files, and favorite files from this card. This OneDrive Card provides a quick and easy way for users to access their most frequently used files directly from the dashboard. Files are automatically opened in the most appropriate solution on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

Quick Link Card

Quick link cards are used to expose relevant links to end users. Operators set up a list of commonly used links based on the user’s role or company goals. This is especially convenient for frontline workers, who are on the move and need easy access to relevant information via mobile devices. Quick link cards can be customized to specific departments using target audiences, which will then activate relevant links specific to department employees or teams.

Playlist Cards

The Playlist card displays a list of video files listed in a specific playlist. This card could be targeted at, for example, new employee onboarding, which contains a list of videos that employees should view to complete the onboarding process for the organization. It could also represent a group of videos that address specific announcements for security audits or events, or that address some issues with a device. This card must be explicitly configured by the operator, and videos can be served via audience targeting if desired.

Frequently Asked Questions

When can I purchase this card?

The cards will be released progressively over the summer/fall of 2024. Each card will be activated one by one for each customer, so you can expect them to be fully available in the fall of 2024.

What should I prepare?

This feature is automatically available to your tenant, so there is no need to prepare anything. If you have already enabled Viva Connections on your tenant, once enabled, the cards will be available to operators in the dashboard editing environment.
