The successful candidate will conduct research in the field of ultrafast broadband THz spectroscopy of perovskite materials, with a particular focus on understanding the dynamics of photoexcited electrons in metal halide perovskites. This fellowship offers an exciting opportunity to work on advanced spectroscopic setups, solution-based perovskite synthesis and the analysis of time-resolved spectroscopic data in a collaborative and supportive environment. Fully funded PhD fellowship for ultrafast broadband THz spectroscopy of perovskite materials Designation: PhD student Research area:Ultrafast broadband THz spectroscopy of perovskite materials, with a focus on understanding the dynamics of photoexcited electrons in metal halide perovskites in the context of dynamic disorder. Location: Leiden, Netherlands Eligibility/Qualification: A master’s degree in Chemistry, physics or a related discipline Strong interest in ultrafast spectroscopy and solid state chemistry/physics Excellent written and spoken English skills Hands-on mentality with the ability to tackle complex test setups and challenges Pleasant work in a collaborative environment with a high value on initiative and creativity Experience with ultrafast spectroscopy, optics, knowledge of programming (e.g. Python) and/or the preparation of perovskite materials is an advantage but not essential.
