PhD positions in interdisciplinary research: The University of Kassel is offering 12 positions as research assistants (PhD) (m/f/d) in the interdisciplinary graduate school “Biological Clocks on Multiple Timescales”. This unique initiative, funded by the German Research Foundation, aims to investigate the principles of time measurement in living organisms. Researchers from the fields of biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics and engineering are involved.

Designation: Research assistants (doctoral positions)

Location: University of Kassel, Germany

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Excellent Master’s, Diploma or Magister degree in Biology, mathematics, physics, genetics, cell biology, computational biophysics, biochemistry, systems and control theory, neurobiology, molecular biology or related disciplines
  • Strong commitment to interdisciplinary research and teaching
  • Good knowledge of English

Job description:

  • Scientific collaboration in one of the selected research projects of the graduate school
  • Actively participate in RTG workshops and events and collaborate with Principal Investigators (PIs) and other PhD students.
  • Complete a study program according to the curriculum of the graduate school
