If you can visit in person, find our team around the expo halls or at one of our workshops or breakout sessions! Rick Klaus – As you can see from his social media feeds, Mr. Ignite is a Microsoft veteran who loves installing server racks and troubleshooting DNS issues. Find the hat! sonia cuff – Sonia, a long-time IT professional who currently leads the modern infrastructure, cloud native and Linux teams in the Microsoft Cloud Advocacy division, will be leaving her summer bathhouse home in Australia to come directly to Chicago. She’ll be wearing nine layers of clothing and clutching flat whites for warmth. Ask her about FinOps and cloud cost management in general and you’ll see her face light up. Joey Snow – The other half patches and switchesAs the official event host, Joey has forgotten more about past Ignite events than we ever found out. In his day job, he leads the security team at Cloud Advocacy. Ask about an MFA. Vinicius Apolinario – Vinicius speaks Portuguese, English, containers and Windows Server and is the best person to contact if your organization is interested in moving applications on legacy hardware. Amy Collier – Amy, our resident virtualization expert, is a new addition to the team after attending VMware Explore. Find someone with all the local Chicago knowledge. She can recommend the best place to eat pizza and how to manage your AVS infrastructure. Pierre Roman – Flying in from Canada, Pierre can cover networking, PowerShell, backups, monitoring, and a variety of other infrastructure topics. Look for a man walking around as if he isn’t cold at all. Paul U – Meet Paul, a newcomer from Kubecon North America, to get the latest on Kubernetes and open source projects, including KAITO. You can find him wherever AKS is mentioned. Lord Trent – With an IT professional and security background, Rod loves talking about Azure Sentinel when he’s not watching episodes of Six Million Dollar Man. You’ll most likely find him running around the place in the morning, and ask Rod how to write great Kusto queries (if you can keep up with him). Sarah Young – After crossing the Pacific and leaving behind her famous pooches for a week, Sarah also joins us for all things security related in Australia. You’re likely to be spotted in the coffee line with Sonia or cameras will follow you while you’re co-hosting an event. To help you plan your event experience, our session catalog is now live! Although you can’t register for a session yet, you can browse the catalog and find your favorite topics and speakers. https://ignite.microsoft.com/sessions Stay tuned and I will share session recommendations in my next article.
