Managing your organization’s brand with the SharePoint brand center

SharePoint Brand Center provides a central location for organizations to manage and create brand assets for Microsoft 365. The new Brand Center brings together the power of your organization’s asset library and your organization’s brand assets to create and manage branded product applications across Microsoft 365 products.

The new SharePoint Brand Center provides an easy-to-use location for brand managers (individuals responsible for your organization’s brand) to create and manage in a single location. While today’s Brand Center is primarily focused on SharePoint and Viva Connections, we’re excited to work with several teams across Microsoft 365 to integrate services for your organization’s brand with Brand Center, and we’ll go into more detail about this topic in this article.

Manage your organization’s brand assets

Brand Center is designed to provide a central location for managing your organizational assets available across Microsoft 365, and also provides a place to create product-specific brand application scenarios. The first of these organizational assets supported by Brand Center are brand fonts and brand colors.

Brand Font

Manage your organization’s brand fonts using the Brand Fonts library in the SharePoint Brand Center. When brand administrators upload font files to the Brand Fonts library, they can manage which fonts are available in the picker experience. Fonts can be used to define and display the expression of your brand.

Brand Colors

Manage your organization’s brand colors using the Brand Colors list in the SharePoint Brand Center. Brand managers can create a list of brand colors that can be used in the picker experience. Brand colors can be used to customize and add personality to content and experiences.

Brand Image

Images and logos can provide context, definition, and identity for content that aligns with your brand. Organization Assets Libraries allow brand managers to provide images that allow everyone in the organization to create content that reflects the values ​​and beliefs of the brand.

SharePoint and Viva Connections Branding

Font package

By uploading your organization’s brand fonts to the SharePoint Brand Center, you can create font packages that can later be applied to SharePoint sites and Viva Connections desktop environments. Font packages contain configurations for how the fonts will be utilized within your content.

Microsoft has provided a set of eight font packages that you can use to transform your sites and experiences without having to upload custom fonts to Brand Center.

You can choose from four font styles, including two font families, to assign to the font package slots. Title, Heading, Content, and Interactive determine the fonts and styles used for content.

Color can change the look of your sites and experiences, and we’re excited to introduce a new way to create and manage themes within SharePoint Brand Center. This new tool lets you create themes for your organization without needing PowerShell. Existing themes created in your tenant via PowerShell will continue to be available and managed from PowerShell.

Powerpoint Branding

Use Copilot in PowerPoint using your organization’s brand library

When working with Copilot and PowerPoint, you have two options for leveraging your organization’s branded content in your presentations.

Using Copilot with your organization’s brand templates, you can create presentations tailored to your information. Copilot does its best to create beautiful presentations with your content, but you’ll be most likely to succeed if you follow the best practices outlined in the linked article.
