From coast to coast, Canada is filled with a wealth of nature, diverse species, and diverse ecosystems that sustain us and provide the essential benefits for a healthy life. Let’s show our gratitude by caring for nature and allowing it to continue to care for us. Funding Information Elementary Schools: Grants of up to $1,500 per institution to support practical, substantive projects to be completed in the 2024-2025 school year. Secondary Schools: Grants of up to $1,500 per institution to support practical, substantive projects to be completed in the 2024-2025 school year. Colleges, Universities, and CEGEPs: $2,000 per institution to support practical, substantive projects that can be completed on campus from February to October 2025. Qualifying expenses Primary, secondary and college, university and CEGEP: Materials and services associated with the proposed activity are reasonable expenses. These may include (but are not limited to) plant, soil, equipment and site costs necessary to complete the project, honorariums for Indigenous Elders and knowledge managers, communication materials and promotional costs, costs associated with project documentation, permits, and facility or vehicle rentals, if required. Qualification criteria Elementary and secondary schools: Schools, classrooms and student groups in Canada. Kindergarten to 12th grade (elementary school, middle school, secondary school). Please note that the application must be completed by an educator or school staff member. Students can connect with their teacher to apply together. Colleges, Universities and CEGEPs: Individual students of adult age. The student club was approved. Student council. Faculty, staff, and campus offices.
