Fully integrated into everyday tools across Microsoft 365 and Teams, Copilot for Sales leverages the power of generative AI and customer data to keep sellers in the flow of work, so they can spend more time with their customers. In August we strengthened our capabilities. Recent communication cards Supports quick view of meeting summaries and recurring meeting support in Outlook. Support during any time of the day To round out our existing date support for creating and editing records and other improvements to Outlook this month, we’ve done the following: Streamlined CRM tasks with actionable messages In the email banner, the following features have been added by admins in Teams: Configure defaults for saving attachments Add to CRM and last but not least: Send follow-up after meeting Added the ability to draft emails directly from Teams. The features highlighted below are included in this month’s Copilot for Sales release. It may take some time for certain features to reach all tenants in each market. In Outlook Recent communication cards now support meeting summaries and recurring meetings. Relevant information about your past interactions with customers is spread across multiple tools, including: Email in Outlook and Meetings in the team. Integrating all the information is a tedious and manual task. Recent communication cards already had the ability to view summaries of recent email threads, but they could not display meeting summaries. They also did not support recurring meetings. They only showed the first instance (if it happened in the last 30 days). This month’s release adds the following features to help customers efficiently catch up on recent Teams meetings: Get a quick summary in Teams* View individual instances of a recurring meeting Learn more Recent communication cards. *Note: For the View Summary button to appear on a Teams meeting card, a recording must exist and users must have access to the recording. Now the seller set the time of day In addition to adding dates as part of creating and editing records in Copilot for Sales, recording accurate time while using the app is critical to your business activities and success. Here’s a screenshot showing the user flow for adding the time along with the date when creating a CRM record (in this case, a meeting), and the resulting view after the record is saved. Streamline CRM tasks with actionable message banners in Outlook Effectively managing important day-to-day CRM tasks, such as adding new contacts or leads and saving customer emails, is essential to maintaining productive customer relationships. However, these The task can often be overlooked When exchanging emails with customers in Outlook, sellers may not realize that these tasks can be completed using Copilot for Sales or may need to navigate to Sidecar directly to complete them. Effectively managing important day-to-day CRM tasks, such as adding new contacts or leads and saving customer emails, is essential to maintaining productive customer relationships. However, when exchanging emails with customers in Outlook, these tasks can often be overlooked, and sellers either don’t know that they can complete these tasks using Copilot for Sales or have to navigate through the sidecar to complete them themselves. To simplify this process and ensure you don’t miss out on important CRM updates, we’ve introduced: Actionable message banner Directly within the seller’s Outlook inbox. When reading emails from external customers, these banners Surface situational prompt Guide the seller perform an important action Directly through Copilot for Sales, e.g.: Add a new contact or lead and Save emails to CRMHelps sellers stay organized and save valuable time. Each banner is contextualized to the email it’s displayed in, showing only relevant content and actions. By clicking on a task, the seller can jump directly to that environment in the sidecar to complete the task. The banner will appear in a maximum of two external emails per user per day. In the team Administrator settings to save attachments to CRM Attachments can be important context to include in your CRM, but not all attachments provide value, and they all take up space. Every organization has different requirements for whether attachment storage should be enabled, and if so, whether all attachments should be stored or the default is to store none. With this month’s release, CRM administrators can now: Configure the ability to save attachments for both emails and meetings.This includes whether it should be enabled and what the default behavior should be if it is enabled. Enabling this feature allows sellers to decide which attachments to save when saving emails or meetings to their CRM. Learn more about the Save Attachments feature and CRM admin setup options. Send follow-up emails after team meetings Today, sellers lack a streamlined flow for post-meeting follow-up and must remember to send meeting recaps and next steps directly to all stakeholders. With pre-nudge, you can send a piloted “Thank You Next Steps” email directly from your Teams meeting recap. This will help you move the deal forward in a way that keeps stakeholders informed, aligned, and accountable. The seller is now Create a follow-up email directly from ‘Sales’ in your Teams meeting summary.. The email content is generated by LLM and includes a summary and next steps. Sellers can open a draft in Outlook with a pre-filled subject, recipients, and generated text, make any changes they want, and then send the email with one click.
